Join artist Robert Peters for a two hour exploration of stencil cutting creativity.
Learn to create paper stencils, layer colours or tones and compose eye-catching designs using easily accessible materials and techniques.
You will need A 4 printer paper, silhouettes of your favourite animals, objects or natural forms, scissors, tape and whatever art materials you have to hand. - for example any or all of the following; a range of graphite pencils, coloured pencils, felt tips, markers, water-colours, acrylics and brushes
Delivered via zoom, participants will need to enable video during the session to allow for feedback.
Suitable for all abilities and ages -teens+ (cutting required)
About the Artist
Robert Peters has over 30 years experience of working in the visual arts sector as an exhibiting artist, curator, arts facility manager and educator.
Robert has been the Creative Director of Seacourt Print Workshop, a founding director of Catalyst Arts, a founder of Ards Arts Collective and a Rudolf Steiner Art Teacher, devising numerous innovative programmes for engaging the public in creative activities. His specialist areas include creativity, wellbeing, education and community development. Robert's artwork is held within the collections of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Trinity College and the Hong Kong Open Print Studio. He has exhibited regionally and internationally including at the Halls of Science NYC.
